Per Diem positions on all shifts in Magnolia Grove; Valid CNA certificate required. Pay range: $19.25 to $22.50 per hour

Responsible To : Charge Nurse

Summary of Job:

Provides direct resident care, assisting the resident to reach and maintain the highest level of functioning.

Responsibilities:

• Observe resident’s physical and emotional condition on a continuing basis and report any changes, problems, or concerns to the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing Services.
• Bath, dress and attend to all personal needs of the resident.
• Maintains a neat and attractive environment for residents. Keeps bedside stands, overbed tables, closets and clothing drawers neat and clean
• Provides restorative care to the residents.
• Adhere to, document and communicate daily according to the nursing policies and practices.
• Pass meal trays, sets up trays and assist residents with meals as needed.
• Assist in responding to call lights as needed regardless of assigned residents within 3 minutes.
• Attend inservice and CNA meetings as scheduled.
• Encourage and assist residents to attend activity programs.
• Report to the Social Services Coordinator when residents have personal needs (e.g. clothing, underwear, etc.)
• Maintain a safe environment for all Resident’s.
• Completes other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Practices good safety habits.

Qualifications:

• Possession of a current California CNA certificate.
• Experience in geriatric nursing.
• Ability to work harmoniously with residents and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
